Finally Found

I asked the bus driver if he has happened to see it anywhere. This time I got a more useful answer. He said,
"Someone said that they put it in the Travillah Elementary School's Lost and Found, so now I know it's there. I'll get for you the next time I drop people off at Travillah." I was glad that the coat was "safe" in the lost and found and that I would probably get it back. The next day, the bus driver switched buses,( he got a new bus) and he had left my coat in his old bus. At least he had found it. The next day he put it into his car so that he could bring it onto the bus and forgot it there. It was already Friday. When I came back to school on Monday, he had my coat ready to go. This crazy detective story is now over.

Case over,

Numerous Stories

One day, I asked one of my friends when was the last time she has seen it. This is the answer I got from her: "On the day you lost it, I thought that you forgot it at school because I didn't see you, and I wanted to be nice so I took it off of the hanger and gave it to a boy who rode on your bus so that he could give it to you because I didn't know that you had chess club." After finding who "the boy" she gave it to was, I started questioning him. "Where did you put it after she gave it to you?," I asked. He first said that he threw it out. Then that he gave it to his friend. Then that he took it home. His next story was that he gave it to the bus driver. His last final story was that he gave it to another person on the bus because he had to get off at a stop and he didn't know what to do with it. I didn't know which story to believe, but the last one sounded most probable, so I went with that. I found the person in the boy's last story, and he said that he put it on a seat where someone was sitting. That meant that the boy's last story was right, and I was fortunate to believe that story. But the case was still not over.

Searching

I looked around my house and didn't find it. Looked in the lost and found in school and didn't find it. "Where else could it be?," I thought. I searched in the bus and asked the bus driver if he has seen it, and still got no useful answer. I asked a few people if they had seen it in the bus, and they said that they have seen it there. I wasn't sure what to do next when they told me it was on the bus, it wasn't in the bus's lost and found, and it wasn't in school or at my house.

The Disappearance

On my way to chess club after school, I noticed that my coat was not on the hanger. How strange, I thought. It was here a few minutes ago when I was packing up. I decided that I had probably forgotten and didn't even come in a coat and mixed it up with the day before. I asked some of my friends if they remembered if I came in a coat that day, but all of us being so absentminded, no one had noticed and they all said that they don't know. Their answers hadn't helped me a single bit. After a bit I forgot about my lost coat, but after a few days remembered about it again.
